I am looking for debt consolidation in the form of a loan for one easy payment. Has anyone had any experiences with a friendly company? No hassles and easy to make it happen.
One that actually works.I’m afraid to put my money into these people if they aren’t really going to help. I’m only about 1,000 to 2,000 dollars and debt. I wanted to see who is actually on these programs and if they actually work from experiences.

I have 7-8,000 in Credit Card debt over 5 credit cards, and need to consolidate them. What have your experiences been like with debt consolidation? Any recommendations on good companies to go with and which ones to avoid?
Also, I have a car payment, at about a $10,000 balance, is it possible to consolidate that as well?
Recently I used a debt consolidation company. Its been a year now and besides their 39.00 fee each month, my debt is down by 7000.00 dollars, a situation I was never able to resolve on my own. I also recently used a check to cash company and it was so very easy. I paid it off and that was that. This could not be all there is too it. I wanted to know if anybody had any bad experiences so I can pass it on and prevent someone from getting into trouble.
I have done my research, and have made sure they are a member of the Better Business Bureau. They also have the least complaints, and have resolved them. I also will have my interest rates almost cut in half, and all my debt payed off within four years. Which is such a load off, knowing right now all my payment is going towards is the interest. I do have one concern I wasn’t sure of. My adviser told me that after I pay my debt off, that all signs of me being in the program, has to be taken off of my credit report within 30-90 days. according to the fair credit reporting act. I looked up the fair credit reporting act law, and it is so long and I couldn’t find what I was looking for. If anyone knows that it is in fact true, and have went through a simuliar program I would appreciate your comments, and hearing about your experiences. Thankyou

I have been reading on how many people have been taken by “Debt Consolidation” companies. Many have taken money allocated for debt repayment and refused to answer the customers call. That is so scary. I tried turning to the BBB but they indicated they are merely a tool for reporting not a guarantee of a legitimate company. Then I look into Bankruptcy and it said most have to try consolidation first to file. Making me even more confused. Has anyone worked with a company for Debt Consolidation that they would recommend? or has anyone tried consolidation only to regret it and wish they had just filed for Bankruptcy. I would appreciate any advice or experiences.
