I’m planning a fairly large purchase. I want to open a credit card account to pay for it, but then pay off the balance immediately. I’m trying to maximize the rewards (travel, points, cash back) I get. Also, as a follow-up, if I cancel the account, do I still keep whatever reward points I accrued?
