    That someone is absolutely correct. This goes for every State, not just Florida. You need insurance just to get the license Plate or Tags. Who told you otherwise? If your caught driving a vehicle that isn’t insured they will give out tickets that will mean points on your license and in some states they will impound the vehicle. until you get insurance-pay the court fee’s and fine and pay the impound fee,which alone could run you an initial $170.00 for the first day and a possible $80.00 per day. you do the math. Very expensive proposition driving with no Insurance.

    Yes, it is illegal. Should you be stopped, you will get ticketed and not be allowed to drive from the site. Car will be towed.

    yes it is illegal to drive without insurance in florida. depending on the cop, he/she may or may not let you drive off if pulled over.

    Yes it is illegal. The minimum mandatory requirement for auto insurance in Florida as prescribed by the Florida Motor Vehicle No-Fault law is: $10,000 of coverage for Personal Injury Protection and $10,000 of coverage for Property Damage Liability.
