Auto Insurance
She won’t cause me to change my auto insurance company, however, I am glad that she is so popular.

I’d like to know… Whenever you’re trying to obtain new auto insurance they take your driver’s license number & social security number.. You’d think that they could look up any tickets/accidents you’ve gotten into. BUT, why do they ask?

If you “forget” an incident, will they find out?

This is coming from a 21 year old who was already paying $1,200 over 6 months for insurance and was involved in an rear-end collision doing 15 in congestion on the interstate, now my premium is $2000 for 6 months.

Auto Insurance
I know several people who have submitted their information into one of the many “online auto insurance quotes” and now they have solicitors all over them, on their phone, emails, junk mail and even one case of Social Security Identity theft. So my question is: Are these online auto insurance quotes really safe? Doesn’t it make sense to stay with a local auto insurance agent you can do business with either on the phone or in person.
Debt Consolidation
I am in debt with all my credit cards, i was thinking about consolidating my debt but I heard that was going to mess up my credit even more. Is that true?
Auto Insurance
The first thing they ask is your zip code. Why not your driving record?

When auto insurers pull a report to give me a quote, does this affect my credit score?
Auto Insurance
I have been paying insurance to 2 different companies for the same coverage(unintentionally). Fortunately there have been no accidents, but how do they decide who pays if there would have been? I am thinking someone owes me a refund. I live in NY.
Auto Insurance
We bought our car 5 years ago in Virginia when it was new and just finished paying off the loan. We paid $23,000. Our Auto insurance premium was based on that value. After 5 years, it is now valued at $10,000 but my insurance agent (Travelers) says the premium does not change just because of depreciation. Is this true?
Life Insurance
I have around $4,000 dollars in my whole life insurance policy. A year or so ago, I decided that this type of “investment” is not for me so I stopped funding it.

When trying to “cash out” of this policy I discovered that there is a $5,000 surrender fee, which would leave me with nothing.

Does anyone know of a way around this, or at least a way to contest it?

I am applying for a delivery truck position. On the application, it asks if you have auto insurance. Are you supposed to have your own insurance when driving for a company, or do they have their own insurance on all of their trucks?

Also, I worked for a temp. agency as my last job.. I have been applying for quite a few jobs lately, but I haven’t gotten any calls back.. Is it alright to call the temp. agency to find out what they have in my file, or what they tell potential employers when the call?
thanks
